Card no 89 – Lin (Moxa) – Yunnan, China

This card was a generous thank you for my ‘sent’ card.  It features the book ‘The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society’ a brilliant novel by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows published in 2008.  The fact that it was a book I had read (and enjoyed) made it even better!

This stamp is from a set of stamps issued in 1998 depicting architecture of Dai Nationality. This stamp is The Pavilion.

This stamp appears to be from a miniature sheet of two stamps issued in 2008 – a Happy New Year stamp with a Blossom of Fortune one.

This card arrived on 9th June, travelled 5,485  miles and took 15 days.

Total so far – 274,282 miles; 22 countries (including 8 US States).

Countries from which I have received cards as at 1st June 2012 are shown in green on this – map

That book has been recommended by a friend for my reading. I plan to read it sometime this summer.
