Card no 78 – Roland (Roland1) – Utrecht, The Netherlands

This card shows windmills once used to drain land to create polders.  They at Kinderdijk – famous as the village of 19 windmills.

This 1992 stamp commemorates the Centenary of Netherlands Paediatrics Society.

I’m not sure what this 1987 Dutch stamp commemorates but it may show a theatre in Antwerp.

Another stamp I’m not sure about – it looks like a road safety one.

This card arrived on 6th June, travelled 345 miles and took 7 days.

Total so far – 248,616 miles; 22 countries (including 8 US States).
